This study is investigating if treating a radius fracture by applying a plaster cast without an operation is just as good as having an operation.
This study is funded by the National Institute for Health Research, Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Project (NIHR127674). It is the work of children’s Emergency Doctors and Bone Surgeons across the UK, with research support from The University of Oxford.
The University of Oxford is the sponsor for this study based in the United Kingdom.
Multi-centre, multi-surgeon, parallel, two-arm, randomised controlled trial
We will be using information from children, parents and medical records in order to undertake this study, and will act as the data controller for this study. For more information see: https://www.hra.nhs.uk/information-about-patients/
